HELP US START TO TAKE CARE OF THOSE WHO SERVE US IN OUR TIME OF NEED. We have all witnessed the trauma of recent events at Grenfell and the response of the emergency crews.
THE HARTSEASE FARM PROJECT is a new and exciting charitable organisation to support the Emergency Services. The aim is to create a tailor made therapeutic retreat with landscaped and wild gardens to allow time away to de-stress, relax and step back from the extremely demanding and vital roles the emergency services play as our everyday heroes.
Set in 25 acres of stunning Hampshire countryside, the Farm sits at the end of a quiet country lane leading to thousands of acres of beautiful equine friendly forest.
There is a huge job to do in preparing the land for use as it has not been used for over 20 years which means the tranquil natural beauty of the site is well established as are the huge quantities of weeds and brambles. Running through the land is the River Hart which meanders through creating a quiet natural rhythm which is truly enchanting.
We currently have 5 rescued horses living at Hartsease Farm they come from very different backgrounds. The one thing they have in common is their need for a special long term home, somewhere they are accepted, can heal from trauma and are allowed to live out their days peacefully. Hartsease Farm has provided the perfect home.

THE MISSION: vital removal of ragwort which is highly poisonous to horses. Two of our only usable paddocks totalling 4 acres are literally full of Ragwort. This plant has to be pulled by hand removed at the root and then burnt before it seeds and multiplies the problem. Once this initial challenge has been tackled the job of creating a very special sanctuary really starts.
