Story
I am a mummy of three miniature dachshund boys, Barney, Benji and Harvey.
In august Harvey, only two years old, started having head tremors. We were referred to Dick White Referrals in Newmarket where after MRI Harvey was found to have a leison on his brain. I was devastated but ready to fight and give Harvey every possible chance there was. He was started on steroids and lots of other medication and every three weeks I had to take him back to DWR for chemotherapy.
Unfortunately nothing was working and last week I rushed him back to DWR where another MRI showed that the leison was much bigger and there was nothing else we could do. Harvey was very poorly and I had no other choice but to let him go. Harvey died in my arms. Barney and Benji were there too. That day a gorgeous double rainbow appeared, just for him.
Harvey was insured but we reached the maximum amount in 2 months and I have £1114 left to pay. I will pay that myself because he was my boy and my responsibility but I would like to raise the same amount in Harvey's memory and donate it to a chosen dachshund charity, Dedicated to dachshunds with IVDD. (charity I chose originally unable to support any fundraising)
Please, every little donation will be appreciated.
Thank you
Michaela & Harvey
