Story

Fingers To The Bone CIC Project represents a community and cultural effort to explore creative and poetic ways of responding to ongoing hate, fear, and hate-related crime. Initiated in the aftermath of a fatal knife incident that happened along Jacqueline Ennis Cole's street in Hackney, East London.

"hatred is a bitter fruit" is a creative venture that involves a UK-wide photography open call that will culminate in a group exhibition at an independent London gallery in 2025. The venue is to be announced in spring 2025.

"hatred is a bitter fruit" responds to micro and intersectional issues of fear, hatred, hate crimes, and xenophobic experiences via a unique, inclusive, and innovative approach. This initiative charts collective ways of addressing, engaging and responding through visual culture and photography.

"hatred is a bitter fruit" is a UK-wide collective response to the growing climate of conflict, community fragmentation, fear, hate crime, hatred, and xenophobia.
