Story

Hello, my name is Harriet (Hattie) Langley, and I am 14 years old. I started playing squash when I was 11 years old at Bridlington Squash Club. I am coached every week at Bridlington and Beverley Squash Clubs and also attend on a monthly basis the Humber Junior Squash Academy at The University of Hull, as well as being part of the England Squash Aspire programme. I am currently ranked 4th in Yorkshire and 37th in England in the U15 Girls' age category. My short term goals are to be ranked number 2 in Yorkshire and break into the top 30 in England, with my long term goal to become a professional squash player.
I have been given the opportunity to train in the summer at Nicol Squash in New York. Nicol Squash, New York is the home of the world leading junior squash program. Led by former world number 1 Peter Nicol, Nicol Squash provides a world-class coaching experience where Peter works technically with players on a 1:1 basis.
Under coach Peter's guidance, I will work on my technical, tactical, mental strategy and matchplay. I have ambitions to attend College/University in the USA on a squash scholarship program and the camp at Nicol Squash will expose me to the College/University squash curriculum.
In order for me to attend the camp I would require financial assistance. The financial assistance would be used to contribute towards the cost of the camp, the transportation (flight) and accommodation (hotel) costs. Any help towards these costs would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for giving up your time to read about my squash journey and I hope that you will be able to contribute generously in order for me to reach my fundraising target.
