I've raised £2000 to Hatzola Ambulance Manchester Service

On the 8th January the incredible Bev Lester was sadly taken from us after battling a short 10 day fight with cancer. During her illness she was in need of an ambulance to transport her from home to hospital. We called the emergency services however they said there were no ambulances available and we would be waiting for over 5 hours before one would arrive. We then decided to ring the Jewish ambulance services, Hatzola and they were able to come within 20 minutes of getting off the phone.
Hatzola is a registered charity operating 24/7 365 days a year to provide swift responses to medical emergencies in the immediate area. The ambulance service is free of charge and is provided by around 45 active volunteer responders. Hatzola is an organisation for the community that receives no government funding and relies totally on voluntary contributions.
Debbie, Tal and Suzy will be completing the ‘Gung Ho’ event in Heaton park at the beginning of April, where we hope to raise as much money as possible for Hatzola in memory of the much loved Bev Lester, a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, auntie, sister in law and friend. Any donation (large or small) is greatly appreciated.
