Story
Haven home is a orphanage in Vizianagaram, India. The school mostly run by the donations around east Bristol and since the Covid-19 outbreak Haven home is support the local community by providing food to the poor families and children which surround it that have been effected by the lock down and job losses.
The money given will go into buying food week by week ordered online and delivered directly to Haven Home within a week. You will be able to see where your money goes by pictures of the orders each week from haven home. £500 would see 1 tonne of food and it would be great to get there by the end of June. We are currently at 72KG.
My own story in this is that in 2019 I visited haven home and was impressed at the love given unconditionally to the children at haven home. One of my passions is India especially help children and their education and was fundraising for India before the lock down. To make a living I am a maths and science tutor and in some of my other voluntary roles I am a parish councillor for Downend and Bromley Heath Parish council and Hanham Parish council.
Since the lock down I have been in contact with one of the main leaders at the school called Prasant who is now running this food program. The order is sent to Prasant at haven home for him to distribute to the families and children of the community they serve.
