Story

We have a wonderful, fun loving young man called Jacob Walker, who plays for our U12's grassroots football team. He is the life and soul of any occasion and always puts a smile on everyone's face.

Just over a month ago now, his family noticed him not being himself, having little energy to do much, but with the lockdown due to Covid, didn't think too much of it. However, they took him to the doctors to be on the safe side following his inactivity at our football match , and after having had many blood and other tests done, they have received the devastating news that he has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.

He has since remained in hospital for 5 weeks and started chemo straightaway. He can only have 1 parent at a time due to the Covid restrictions and couldn't even see his sisters. After the 5 weeks he was allowed home but has to go back to Manchester hospital frequently for more tests, blood transfusions, lumber punctures and bone marrow to be taken.
We are wanting to try and raise some money to support his parents at this difficult time and go towards the travelling between home and Manchester hospital which will be extremely costly.
Any help anyone can give will be gratefully received and we hope Jacob can fight this cancer and become the cheeky chappie again that we all know and love.

Thank you.
