Hay on Wye is a magical place at any time of year, but at Christmas it takes on a whole new sense of wonder. A big part of this is the annual Christmas lights display, which illuminate the town during the winter months. We launch the lights with a special Switching On Ceremony which coincides with the Hay Festival Winter Weekend.

We hope that the Christmas lights make Hay a nicer place to shop, relax and enjoy the festive season. The lights are not cheap, especially as we are trying to extend them this year, but we know that they attract people from far and wide to come to our beautiful town.
