In memory of our beautiful baby boy, Hayes.

On 10/05/2026, our precious son Hayes was born sleeping at 01:37 at 22 weeks and 4 days. Hayes was deeply loved and wanted beyond words, and he will always be part of our family.

Although our time with him was heartbreakingly short, he changed our lives forever and will never be forgotten.

To honour Hayes’ memory and keep his little legacy alive, we are raising funds to support families experiencing pregnancy and baby loss, helping to provide comfort, precious memories and meaningful support during some of the hardest moments imaginable.

Thanks to the incredible kindness and generosity we have already received, we have been able to:

🩵 Provide a Cuddle Cot for Hunnaball of Colchester Funeral Directors

A Cuddle Cot gives families precious additional time with their baby after loss, allowing them to make memories, say goodbye and spend time together as a family. This was something that would have meant so much to us, and we are incredibly grateful that we can now help provide that opportunity to other families through Hayes.

What we are fundraising for next

We want Hayes’ Little Legacy to continue growing and supporting families in as many meaningful ways as possible.

🌈 Window art for the Early Pregnancy Unit

Our next goal is to raise enough money to provide beautiful window art throughout the Early Pregnancy Unit where Abigail works as a specialist midwife.

We want to create a calmer, more welcoming and comforting environment for women and families who may be facing pregnancy loss, receiving heartbreaking news or going through one of the most difficult experiences of their lives.

🧸 Memory boxes & Rainbow Baby Boxes

We also want to create our own memory boxes for families experiencing baby loss, filled with meaningful items and keepsakes to help families make precious memories with their babies.

We would also love to create Rainbow Baby Boxes for families who go on to have a baby following loss something to acknowledge their journey, celebrate their precious new arrival and remind them that their previous baby will always be part of their story.

As Hayes’ Little Legacy grows, we hope to identify and support other meaningful ways of helping families throughout their journey. This is our way of turning our heartbreak into something meaningful.

We cannot change what happened to Hayes, or bring him back to us, but we can try to make an unimaginable experience a little kinder for other families.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps us keep Hayes’ memory alive and allows his little legacy to continue making a difference.
