Story

In 2012 my dad had a heart attack whilst at work for turners lorry driving at 45 years old. He managed to finally stop safety in a lay by before calling for help, after an emotional few months he was declared fit back for work and life carried on for a while. A few months later he was getting lots of pain in his neck, back, and legs and was diagnosed with Fybromialgia which they think was caused by his body going into shock after the sudden heart attack and he has bone spurs on his spine which cause nerve and leg pain/weakness. He was eventually forced to leave his job that hes had for the last 25 years and his lorry and car licence was taken off him by the DVLA. His partner also left him after 9 years as they both struggled to come to terms with it. He was moved Into a bungalow as he really struggles with walking and the pain now but it has no wheelchair access to the property, he uses an electric wheelchair as his arms don't work very well because of the neck and shoulder pain and that's why he needs the ramps as its to heavy to lift inside and out again, He has portable ramps but they are to heavy to use on his own as he needs them for the front and back. There is an 18month wait through occupational therapy but he is really struggling now. I decided to try and set up a page for him to try and get some life back for him and to make life troubles of bills and getting out the house a little easier for him and I hate to see him so sad. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
