I am going to be running the Great North Run on 10th September to raise funds for Ross' school, Sandelford. This is to enable them to build a memorial garden to honour those children that have attended the school and who have sadly passed away now.

For those of you that don't know anything about Sandelford, they have kindly shared a bit about themselves:

'At Sandelford school we have the privilege of providing individualised education for 210 young people aged 3-19 with severe and complex needs including pupils with severe autistic spectrum disorders. A number of our pupils have rare medical conditions with many of our young folk having complex sensory issues. We have specifically designed our curriculum to try and ensure our pupils develop the highest levels of independence possible. We are extremely proud of our young people and their achievements They are, and continue to remain, the inspiration for our work.'

As I'm sure most of you know, given Ross' condition of health, this is very special to not just me, but everyone in my family. I'd love to raise as much as possible for them to say thank you for all they've done for him so far.
