Oia (pronounced Eya) has been by our side for a week at our villa. She is one of many lost or abandoned dogs on the island left to fend for herself.
She is young, playful, loving and you can see in her eyes she just wants love and somewhere to call home, out of the rays of the hot sun and sometimes harsh rains and winds in the evening.
When holiday season ends here, many of these dogs (and cats) will meet their fate to starvation, dehydration or worse.
She has capured my heart. Please help make my dream come true by getting her back to the UK.
I have spoken to the vet and animal welfare society in Santorini and now know i'm just a few hundred pounds away from making this happen.
Oia deserves a chance...so many walk past, but that's not me.
