    Story

Shortly after Jack was born he had his first seizure - he spent 3 weeks in NICU. As a result he now has Cerebral Palsy, and complex, life threatening seizures. He has many emergency admissions to hospital day and night, which affects all the family. Jack is 5 years old and lives at home with his mum Hayley and his older sister Evie aged 9. He attends a local special school, and is a happy social little boy. Despite his health and physical challenges he is a very determined and brave little boy. Today Jack uses a walking frame and sometimes a wheelchair to get about. Stairs can be a struggle especially when he is tired. Jacks shares a bedroom with his mum. Jack would benefit greatly from his own ground floor bedroom and bathroom to enable us to care for jack in an adapted environment. It would give Jack some independence. We have been given a Disabled facilities grant from the council - however there is a shortfall of £10000 towards the building Work. Any contribution towards making this happen would make such a big difference to Jack and his family.

    Thank you

Hi! Just wanted to thank the whole company as a whole @lovejoysuk the directors have been family friends and neighbours for many years. They have raised a fantastic amount along with their team of staff. Their support and kindness is appreciated so much. Instead of sending Xmas cards to their colleagues they donated to jacks Journey. On behalf of jack a very big smile and thank you xx

I’m Jack and Evies mum. I have been a children’s community learning disability nurse for many years. But nothing ever prepares you for the challenge of having your own child with additional needs. Jack is almost 6, and his own adapted bedroom and bathroom would be life changing.
