Story

All being well, I will be participating in the Montane Spine race in January 2021. The race covers all 268 miles of the Pennine way over 7 days. This will be the biggest challenge I've faced so far. I would like to take this opportunity to help raise money for a cause that I feel very passionate about, which will hopefully keep me motivated during the event.

I'm aiming to raise enough money to start a free sports club for young teens in my area and am hoping for your support.

Growing up, I was fortunate enough to have access to lots of free sports clubs and activities and gained lots of positive experiences. I believe that my opportunities have helped me feel empowered; and encouraged me to make healthy choices in life. I now feel motivated to provide others with an opportunity to get involved in sport in hope that they both: feel part of a welcoming community; and become confident in seeking their own challenges.

In terms of donations:

I'm going into this challenge aware that I may not be able to make it to the end. For this reason I would really appreciate it if those who would like to donate, did so on a 'pence per mile' basis. This will allow me to make safe decisions during the event without feeling any unnecessary pressure to finish.

Any donations received will go towards the set up and running of a weekly sports club for young teens. The more money raised, the more sessions can be provided.

Thank you.
