Story

On June 5th I was diagnosed with a 7.5mm brain aneurysm which required surgery, which was carried out on October 20th, on October 21st I suffered a massive brain bleed which caused me to have a life changing stroke. My family were not very hopeful of me making it through the night, however I did and after spending 2 weeks in James cook hospital I was then transferred to north tees for rehab. At that time i had no movement at all on my left hand side could not even sit up. Over the last 4 months I have had the most amazing physio and not only can I sit but I can now stand up and even take a few steps and I’m on the road to recovery but it’s still a long way off but I won’t be beaten I will walk independently again!

However during my time at north tees it has become evident how underfunded they are when it comes to physio equipment so I have decided to share my story in order that I can raise some much needed funds. It would be amazing if you could donate even a few pounds! A stroke can happen to anyone at any age and do the equipment is invaluable to us patients here.
