    Story

My younger brother Ryan (the blonde one on the right of the picture) served in the RAF for 5 years. During that time he fought in Afghanistan twice. The military life changed him and alongside his growing confidence and skills, were also the challenges that come with the experience of combat. He lost some of his friends out in the field and the trauma he witnessed became another battle he had to deal with when he came home and tried to settle back into civilian life. When my brother joined the RAF I was so proud of him for following his dreams and achieving what he wanted for a long time. Today, though Ryan left the military a couple of years ago, I am still just as proud, if not more, at the kind hearted person he has become. He would do anything for not only his family & friends, but anyone who is in need of help. He has a heart of gold and always puts others before himself. Life has not been an easy path for Ryan. Like us all, he has had more than his fair share of challenges. Now Ryan hopes to progress in his driving career and wants to learn how to drive dangerous goods vehicles. His current job doesn't pay well and its not a job he enjoys, but he does it to make ends meet and to support his wife and family. To become a dangerous goods driver means a week training course which costs £500. I hope to raise this money for him so he can get trained and find the job that he really wants to do. He works so hard and never complains. I just hope we can make this ex military mans wish come true, after all that he has done for others, he deserves to be happy. Thank you.
