Elliot has a debilitating condition called di george syndrome. This means he has hyper mobility and at 2 years old can not stand unaided. He also has a cleft palate which needs to be repaired. In his case it is a hole in the roof of his mouth right at the back. This also means he can not drink or eat orally and is peg fed a special milk through his tube in his tummy. Elliot cannot talk and communicates through sign language. He also requires a major operation to repair his heart which hopefully he will get the end of this year. He spends a lot of time in hospital due to his many issues. We want to make his room a sensory room so it can stimulate him and when he is poorly or recovering from his operations he can be calmed, comforted and occupied. He has a sister called Jessica who sometimes feels a little left out as Elliot takes up a lot of mummy and daddies time due to his condition. Therefore any money left over will go to a day trip for her mummy and daddy. Thank You x
