Story

Following the excellent response we've had and due to the page expiration, I've set up this second page (expires Dec) to continue to raise as much money as we can, even after the Run.

When your world is turned upside down, and a loved one is diagnosed with Cancer, this small but vitally important team based in the Osborne Building of the Leicester Royal Infirmary, are truly amazing with the love, support, upliftment and positivity they bring to their patients and families 💜💙.

Many of you will know this cheeky, Irish man, always with a tale to telI by the name of Mick, Junior or Michael. He is currently undergoing extensive treatment and on a pioneering trial at Hope's Leicester based unit. He spent many years working in asbestos related conditions and atmospheres, and this has now taken its toll, resulting in him being diagnosed with Mesotheloima.

Well now it is my personal aim to raise as much awareness and money for them as I can, so they can continue to trial pioneering, and ground-breaking treatments, in the fight against cancer.

So on the 23rd September, myself loved ones, family members and friends are taking part in the Gung-Ho Challenge to run the biggest 5k in the World!!

Any donation however small, will go towards making a huge difference in the fight against cancer in supporting the medical treatment and support of the dedicated team at Hope.

For more information on the tireless work they are doing please visit their site:- hopeagainstcancer.org.uk.
