Hi, I'm Hayley. I'm a full time Ecologist working on the M25 motorway and dabble in sprint triathlons (750m open water swim/20km bike ride/5km run) in my spare time. I turn up to meetings smelling of chlorine and constantly eat!

I started the sport when I was swimming, cycling and running and thought, 'Now, what can I do with this training?' Go figure.

Earlier this year a colleague suggested I aim to qualify to represent GB at the Euro Champs in 2017... always up for a challenge I looked into this and thought I might as well give it a go.

I competed in two qualifiers, one where I got a tri PB of 1 hour 13, and the other where my bike failed me and I ended up walking down the road crying through frustration and disappointment. Luckily my first qualifying time was strong enough to nab a sport in the GB squad!

I'm 10th in Britain, 2nd in England and 2nd in the Triathlon England East region, it'll be nice to add a European stat to this list too!

GB age-group triathletes get zero sponsorship/funding and as a result I'm furiously trying to get some money together to get my bike and myself to the race.

Any little helps and is hugely appreciated.
