Local community

Story

My 15 year old daughter, Hazel, has put herself forward to be part of an expedition to Nicaragua in July 2019. This is probably a once in a lifetime opportunity for Hazel to experience the vibrant culture in this part of the world. She will be trekking through the Maribos Volcano range and hiking up Momotombo but, most importantly, will have the opportunity to really help the local community by assisting them with refurbishing a school or building a much needed sanitation facility. It is an expectation of the trip organisers that she shows the ability to fundraise part of the cost of the trip herself; she has therefore arranged various activities to do this. She has already started training for a 5k run in September and plans a sponsored cycling event (venue tbc) as well as advertising her services for dog walks. She will also be doing cake bakes, craft making and anything else she can fit in between studying for and taking GCSE exams! She would be so grateful if you could support her by donating whatever amount you can 😊.
