Story
Who are we?
We are Team 10173D HBS Rampage, an all-girls Year 8 Robotics Team. This has been our very first season in Robotics and we have qualified through to the VEX IQ World Championships- in Kentucky, U.S.A, being one of the only teams representing the United Kingdom.
Why are we raising money?
We are looking to raise £9600 which will help us on our journey there- this will go towards food, flights, accommodation etc. This is an amazing experience and we would be incredibly grateful for any donations/sponsorships.
Our Story
In September 2018, six different individuals got news that they had been accepted to represent HBS in Robotics.
This day was life-changing and we have gone through so many ups and downs- the experience (although this may sound cliché) was truly unforgettable.
The game itself is called Next Level, and we had to build and program a robot accordingly. In addition to this, we researched Interstellar Travel for our award-winning STEM project as well as keeping a sketchbook to show all of our design processes, meetings, scrimmage feedback and any updates of this season.
There were times when we felt like giving up, those scrimmages when we didn't do nearly as well as planned, those days when the perfect program would stop working. We did not take these as a blow, but rather, we took those days as motivation to persevere and carry on- and we can certainly say that all our hard-work has paid off.

-We are currently ranked 6th in the U.K. due to both our Programming and Driving abilities.
As you can see, we are quite well-rounded as a team and try to be the best in every aspect of VEX IQ.
