Story

the Headland Unit, TreliskeThe team at the Headland Unit, Royal Cornwall Hospital, do an incredible job treating hundreds of cancer patients in Cornwall every week.

Having spent a large amount of time there over the last six months - experiencing the patience, humour and expertise of the staff and the courage and camaraderie of the patients - I wanted to do something to give a little back. So I challenged some of my dearest friends to run/walk a half marathon distance with me on Sunday 27th June (in the gap between finishing my chemo and having surgery). Starting from Treliske and finishing at my home.

Donations will go directly to the Headland Unit Amenities Fund and they will be used to make patients’ experience as comfortable as possible.
