    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

    Story

We are a team of people who are simply part of the community here in Dundee, we want to help make a difference to how we talk about and perceive mental health and wellbeing.

We are creating Dundee's very own Mental Health Awareness Week - Heart Tay Heart!

A big part of this are the ways EVERYONE can take part and be a part of this week, after all, this week is truly about everyone. Its not about having a mental illness, its about how best each of us can look after our own and help others with their mental health - we ALL have it.

Working together we can all make a difference, we can all make a change right here in Dundee. But it does need us to come together.

As you can see from the picture, anyone and everyone can have the opportunity to take part in what will be a Mask Exhibition - 'The Faces of Mental Health in Dundee'. You don't have to be arty or considered creative - I am definitely not but my experience of mental health is my own and therefore not wrong. More can be found on our facebook page and website on what, how and the where.

Because we are not a social enterprise or overseen by a charity we are not eligible for alot of funding applications which is a shame because we are . . . . .

just like you, we are part of this community and we want to help people to make that change.

If everyone in the community is able to donate a minimum of £1 we could easily make this happen, we will have created a truly community created Mental Health Awareness Week. Owned by and created by the people of Dundee. You will have made it happen.

The exciting part is due to start in January so time is of the essence to allow us to put things in place to help you get involved even more.

We are looking to get everyone from school age through to the elderly involved. It doesn't matter what age you are, what gender you are, your background, mental health does not discriminate so lets start now and come together.

    Thanks Folks.

£314 to date, thank you so much and its great to see everyone skipping their lattes or coffees ;) Keep em coming. That is the equivalent of us supplying 6 primary schools with their required masks. As well as a number of smaller requirements for the masks!! Amazing - You guys are doing this!!
