I've raised £500 to For the HODU unit at Airedale Hospital.

I'm running Gargrave half marathon on June 23rd to raise some funds for HODU which is a unit at Airedale hospital that has treated, supported and cared for my Mum through her chemotherapy treatment and my Grandad through his treatment of Myelodysplastic Syndrome (google it).
HODU treats over 40 patients a day with hematological disorders, chronic illnesses, cancer, and patients who suffer complications with their treatments.
They rely entirely on charitable funds for anything from teas and coffees for the patients to the chairs that patients sit on. Some of the patients spend hours on the unit while receiving their treatment intravenously and can suffer unpleasant side effects. The staff at HODU are hoping to replace the comfy chairs (which have become worn out and not so comfy) and buy some home comforts to help patients through their treatments.
The staff do an absolutely amazing job and really do care for the people using the unit, both my Mum and Grandad spoke so highly of them. It would be fantastic to be able to give something to the unit to help the staff provide the amazing service that they do and add a bit of comfort to those with ongoing treatments.
Every little helps, and even a small donation would really help bring a bit of sunshine to someone having a hard day.
