Last christmas we were doing just fine . John and i were working and 2018 looked like it was gping to be a great year. On january 5th john visits his gp as he had shortness of breath ,a cough and pain in his shoulder. The gp sent him hospital for urgent x rays, 6 hours after arriving we left being told it was a possibilty that john had lung cancer. We were devasted. He had to have a ct scan and then it was a month wait before we see the specialist with the results. John had pleurisy but doctor said he didnt think it was cancer . John was booked in to have the fluid drained 1 week later and after draining off 1100 mls of fluid we believed it was all over. But alas it wasnt and john had 5 more drains before having to be admitted to have a pleurodises . He had the surgery then 2 days later was sent home . 4 days later he was in a and e with a high temperture and vomiting. Hos wound had become infected. He remained in hospital for a further 4 days on an antibiotic drip before being transfered back to the other hospital to have the procedure again. He was very sick and the doctor promised me he would be well looked after and he said the 2nd procedure went a lot better than the 1st and he was 90% sure it had worked this time. He also told me the biopsy from the 1st procedure had shown no cancer cells but he was still unsure of what was causing johns pleural effusions . John spent 8 days in hospital and has been home 2 days .The wpund is swelling again and he said he can feel the fluid filling around his lung again.Meanwhile john has lost his job he was a self employed window fitter . The company he worked fir couldnt hold his job open any longer for him. I would love for john to just have a little break from all hes gone through but i cant afford it as only 1 wage now .. anything you can spare to make this happen and i am most greatful . Thank you
