Parkhill Lodge is a residential care home that's looked after my aunt Carol in one respect or another for almost as long as I remember! It started as respite care and day trips, and now Carol lives there full time. The staff work tirelessly to make sure the residents are looked after, but also manage to have some fun! Even after a day out with the family including ducks and rice pudding (two of her favourite things), Carol is never sad to be returning to Parkhill, which shows how much she enjoys it there!

The staff at Parkhill really do the best they can with what they've got, but on those few warm days in the summer they don't have anywhere for the residents to sit and enjoy the sun. So while I'm praying for no sun on marathon day, I'm hoping to raise enough for some garden furniture so everyone at Parkill can make the most of the sunny days when they do come!
