Story
I’m running the Edinburgh Marathon to raise money for Diane Harts Sheepdog, Collie Rescue & Rehabilitation Centre — a charity that means the world to me.
Anyone who knows me knows how much my dog Norman means to me. He’s a border collie, my best friend, and honestly a huge part of my life. He’s clever, loyal, slightly chaotic in the best way, and the reason I completely fell in love with collies. Sadly, so many dogs like him aren’t as lucky, which is why this cause is so important.
Diane Harts rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes sheepdogs and collies who have been abandoned, neglected or misunderstood, giving them the second chance they deserve. They provide food, veterinary care, safety and love until each dog finds their forever home.
Training for a marathon is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but knowing I’m doing it for dogs like Norman keeps me going on the days when it gets tough. Every mile I run is for the collies who didn’t get an easy start in life — and I’ll be thinking of wagging tails and muddy paws all the way to the finish line 🐾
If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, you’ll be helping give these incredible dogs a better future — and giving me that extra push when my legs want to give up.
Thank you so much for supporting me, Norman, and this amazing rescue 💙🐕🦺
