Story
Unfortunately on 1st February our mum took her last breath and lost her short battle with cancer. Around a year ago she got the all clear and months later it had reappeared. An operation was scheduled to remove these tumours early December but sadly they were too aggressive and there was nothing more the medical professions could do. We were given approximately 12 months.
Then on the 5th January we found out things had taking a turn for the worst and we were told she only had a few days with us. Mum you were a fighter and despite us all being told this, you battled through and managed to fight out 27!
❤️❤️ We are incredibly proud to call you mum and of course for the fight you have put up. I’m so glad that we were able to spend the last few weeks by your side. ❤️❤️
We have both signed up to complete 10,000 steps every day in March - for those that know us both well will know this is a challenge within itself.......
Andrew has also signed up to complete The Kilt Walk on 26th April which consists of 26 miles...... can he manage it??
Our mum‘s wishes were to donate money to the ward (Ward 11 - Ninewells Hospital, Dundee) that she spent her final months in, where the nurses really looked after her and treated her like family. We can‘t thank the nursing team enough for the care and treatment of our mum.
Please dig deep and help this ward to continue their support with patients. Funds raised will go towards specialised equipment, supplies and over all general care for all the current and future patients in Ward 11.
