Charlotte Grainger (aged 9) and some of her friends were so inspired by a Newsround programme about how hedgehogs are slowly becoming extinct, that they decided research on how to save hedgehogs. After looking at how everyone can help with the right foods and housing, they thought it would be a great idea to start fundraising for a hedgehog house at the school. Charlotte said:

"Every little donation is important because it makes a big difference to endangered hedgehogs. They desperately need our help, so thank you for you donation."
