I'm raising £8,000 for Llanelli Centre for the Deaf.

The Centre is a hub, a second home for the local Deaf Community. We come here to be together. For our children to be around their Deaf family. For families like ours to learn about our children's language and culture.

The club looks after Deaf children, and Deaf families of all ages, from tiny babies like my son was, when we found them. Without this club, our now 2 year old wouldn't have the language he has, the understanding, the family. I honestly cannot express enough how much this place means to us.

Our Deaf home is damaged, badly. The rendering is blown. The temporary repairs are not coping. There's damp, and mould. We have rooms that are now unusable.

The total cost of repairs will be in excess of £40k.

Im just asking for help to fix one room - the youth games room.

£8k should be enough to cover the cost of *necessary* repairs for this room to be usable again. That includes -

2 windows

3 walls - internal repair and rendering

half a ceiling replaced

flooring repair

This room is currently unsafe for use and was the most used room for the club's youth.
