Story

The Gold Ribbon Nework (GRN) is a non-profit organization of Japan dedicated to support children with cancer and their families.

When a child is diagnosed with cancer the patients and their families not only go through physical and emotional challenges of treatments but also many of them face financial difficulties. Approximately half of the survivors suffer long term health problems and require support going forward in their lives. GRN aims to create a society where children with cancer are able to live their lives in comfort and security.

They provide support for hospital visits, scholarships for childhood cancer survivors for universities and colleges, support single parent households with the financial burden of supporting childhood cancer patients, organise support camps, work place experiences, study opportunities and survivors network. They aim to enhance the quality of life of children affected by cancer, provide funding for research to ultimately conquer childhood cancer and raise awareness.

I have pledged to support The Gold Ribbon Network when I run the Tokyo Marathon on March 3rd 2024 and would love your support!
