Story
I was a very active 21 year old, lucky to have a great job, traveled as much as I wanted, living a very fulfilled life. All of this and my independence was taken away from me in just day back in 2016. I spent a whole year in hospital because this happened, I had numerous tests/scans daily trying to find out what was wrong as no operation could fix this. This left me completely paralysed from the neck down and dependent on others for everything. I was told there was no cure. I’ve spend the last three years trying to adjust to my new life, regain any sort of independence and quality of life. I’ve tried various physio but they are so expensive and the resources aren’t there for my extreme paralysis. I’ve tried so hard to not give up on my recovery and I want to be able to walk again. In recent events, I was fortunate enough to be invited to the Royal Garden party, where I was honoured to be introduced to Prince Charles. He asked about my life and how I am in a wheelchair. Later that week I had a phone call from Buckingham Palace explaining the interest in my story and how Prince Charles wanted me to meet his doctor. Following that I went up to London to meet with Doctor Ali, where I was given an opportunity of a lifetime. He has helped many other people in situations like mine in a recovery centre in Oman (Middle East). He is confident in his work and has showcased me evidence of results of other people. He has been so supportive and reassuring that I will get better and gain movement back that I haven’t felt in such a long time. He and I are both adamant that I will get better. After a month of intense work with his treatments we will see results. I need financial help with my flights, accommodation and treatments while I am there to make this once in a lifetime change happen and make my quality of life better again and any donation will help me on my road to recovery. Thank you for your consideration and time.
