Story
I know this is short notice, but I'm riding the Birmingham Velo next weekend (100 mile bike ride) and want to use my ride to raise funds for the Kings Heath Cat Club (KHCC). I haven't done much distance cycling this year and so this ride is going to be a real challenge for me.
I recently became the proud momma to two beautiful rescue kittens, Dougal and Zebedee. They hadn't had the best start in life and had been living on a balcony in a highrise flat. They were rescued when their owner approached KHCC for help with the kitten's mum. My kittens are starting to come out of their shells and relax in a loving home, but there are many many more who are still being looked after by KHCC and awaiting their forever home.
KHCC are an awesome group of people. It was initially established as a group on Facebook for people to share pictures of their cats, ask for advice and seek support. The group now has over 4,000 followers and has expanded to a fully fledged rescue, saving little cat and kitten lives from some pretty awful situations.
KHCC Rescue currently has over 50 rescue cats and kittens living with wonderful foster families. Most of the cats and kittens need some form of treatment, from major surgery to neutering and the day to day upkeep of food, cat litter, flea and worming treatment is very expensive. In order to save these little lives they rely solely on donations.
KHCC have recently taken on a number of cats with severe medical problems, with a number of cats needing to have eyes removed and one little baby so weak he had to be fed through a tube! Any donation, no matter how small will go a long way!
Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for your dontation.
