Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Our friend Amber and her partner Steven had a beautiful boy called Oscar. He was born on 14th July 2023 and at 3 months old, he was diagnosed with infant ALL Leukaemia. He underwent numerous blood transfusions, hospital admissions, chemotherapy and later a stem cell transplant. But at the age of 10 months and 11 days, on 25th May 2024, he died peacefully, with Amber and Steven by his side.

Amber and Steven chose two charities that supported them during Oscar's treatment and journey - PASIC and PACT. Both PASIC and PACT are two local charities that support families going through a diagnosis of a childhood cancer.

We as a team who work in the Emergency Department are going to be pushing ourselves well and truly beyond our comfort zones. Some of us will be cycling 75 miles, some of us running or walking as part of a relay to reach 75 miles. Rest assured, this will not be easy!!

Why 75 miles? Well this is part of PASIC's STEPtember challenge. And we just decided to do it all in one day. Because, why not?!

It would mean a great deal to us if you could donate whatever you feel able to. We really want to show our love and support to Amber and Steven. Thank you.
