In 2011, my son Jacob was stillborn at 31 weeks.

For many years, I have wanted to complete a 31-mile walk in his memory, one mile for every week of his precious life. On 18th and 19th July 2026, my friend Becky, and I will be walking from Middlesbrough's Transporter Bridge to Whitby Abbey to honour Jacob and celebrate the love he brought into our lives.

This walk is about more than remembering Jacob. It is about turning love into hope.

We are raising money to support Elizabeth Bailey and Nick Hill, two local bereaved parents, on their IVF journey. After experiencing the heartbreak of losing their baby, they are hoping for one more chance to grow their family through IVF. Sadly, they are not eligible for NHS funding, so I have decided to do all I can to help them, as I believe everyone deserves the chance to be a parent and I know I am unbelievably blessed to have my five children.

Every donation, no matter how small, will help bring them closer to that dream.

For Jacob's 31 weeks, we walk 31 miles, creating hope for new life.
