Story

My names Helen I'm 48 and 3 years ago I ended up in intensive care with pneumonia. When I came home I was told I had type 2 retainer copd. I used to ride a bike 5 miles a day, and had to have oxygen 24 hours a day along with nebulizers, inhalers and a NIV machine. Unfortunately I am prone to infection which has caused more damage to my lungs. At first there was talk of transplants and stunts but because I'd got so much damage and kept getting more infections the DR's won't operate as my body will see any foreign objects
as infection which will cause more damage. To help me breathe. I have an amazing family who do everything 4 me, because it takes energy to do even the simplest tasks I am aware just how much I do rely on their support. I am absolutely desperate to be able to get about myself. My family do push me in a normal wheelchair , even my grandchildren try 2 push me. But it would make a huge difference if I could get an electric wheelchair. I can't use the type that u push yourself. I have tried but I ran out of breath and only mover 2 yards. I am not complaining I am so lucky 2 have the support I have. But if anyone can and wants to help it would make an amazing difference to my life. Thank you taking your time to read this.
