Running the London Marathon has always been a dream of mine, and now that I have secured a ballot place after 15 years of rejections, it feels surreal. While I know there will be challenging moments on race day, I am determined to push through for a cause that is close to my heart.

I am raising funds for Erin Sighthounds, a small charity based in the North West of England dedicated to rehoming Sighthound dogs who have faced neglect and abandonment in Ireland. In January 2025, we welcomed Xena, our beloved lurcher, into our home. She has filled our lives with joy and companionship, reminding us of the importance of giving these wonderful animals a second chance.
