I've raised £35000 to help fund my life saving immunotherapy treatment at the Hallwang Clinic, Germany.

Hi to all my family and friends.
As you may remember I set up a similar fundraising page in 2016 to try and raise the funds so that I could get immunotherapy treatment at the Hallwang Clinic in Germany.
However, after the initial discussions with the clinic and analysis of the biopsy results it was decided to hold back because my tumour markers had dropped dramatically from 1250 to only 126. Alas, the last CT scan showed there is a progressive increase again. I have had palliative folfiri chemotherapy for almost a year now on a fortnightly basis at Guy’s Cancer Centre, London.
I have stage 4 bowel cancer that has unfortunately spread to my liver and lungs. I even had 50 % of my liver removed at the Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham. I have now reached the point where there is no more treatment that the NHS can give me with any hope of a cure. As far the NHS is concerned, my cancer is incurable and inoperable. However, the Hallwang Clinic does provide a treatment which has a very high success rate.
The overall cost of the treatment is around £100,000. However, I can go to Germany and do the first phase of treatment for around £30,000.
I have never been so serious about anything in my life. In short, if I don’t go to Germany it is only a matter of time before any other palliative treatment available on the NHS fails to work. To put it bluntly, without the immunotherapy treatment in Germany I don’t know how long I will have or how long I will have a good quality of life.
I want to see my children (23 & 20) grow up, hopefully get married and enjoy being a grand-mother. I am only 45 years old and I am determined to do what I can to win my battle against cancer. I will not have these opportunities if I don’t get to Germany.
I have worked all my adult life as a carer in a number of local care homes and been an active member of Gainsborough & Morton Striders AC and represented Lincolnshire at the World Cross Country Championship trials in 2013. I have also played hockey for the county.
Please be under no illusion, if I don’t get sufficient funds to go to Germany I may not be around too much longer. I had to stop the last course of chemotherapy because it was no longer effective and was detrimental to my overall health.
Please help and donate towards my treatment costs. Please SHARE the Facebook page with the link to the JustGiving page. On behalf of my family and myself, I really do want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading this post and hopefully raising the money to receive the treatment in Germany.
Helen.
