Story

In the past 8 months our boys lost their two grandfathers. Both to completly different illnesses but nevertheless both heartbreaking.

As many of you will know John (Mark’s dad) lost his battle with cancer and Alzheimers in August. He battled bravely through its many phases. Sometimes with humour, often also with frustration and anxiety.

Edgar (my dad) passed away, in what felt like a blink on an eye, just one months ago having battled two different types of cancern and a horrific virus called HTLV. All of this whilst continuing to try and make Costa Rica a better place to live for current and future generations.

As a family, we were powerless in both instances and will never understand why they had to leave us when or how they did. Moving forward with some positivity we are challenging ourselves to raise money to help the fantastic organisations out there who are doing research in raising awareness and funding research, so that these two illnesses don‘t keeping taking away people we love, especially if its avoidable.

The first Team Bryant attempt is in the shape of Tomás and Oscar competing in a triathalon in Henley on Thames, the area where John lived for many happy years. Bringing it even closer to home its also being hosted where Mark went to school.

Please help us in any way you can by supporting these two very worthy causes in memory of two outstanding Individuals in Edgar & John.
