I've raised £1000 to help Leia's Living Legacy fund state of the art equipment to help children and babies with heart conditions in South Wales

Inspired by my niece Leia Godwin's journey through PIMS/Kawasaki and into heart disease I have decided to raise funds to provide state of the art equipment to the paediatric cardiology department in Noah's Ark hospital in Cardiff, to minimise hospital trips for children and babies both with congenital and acquired heart conditions.
Leia started out in this world with a perfectly healthy heart, and now has severe complications. Her story is well documented on my facebook page, on national news and on her mum Hannah's blog https://www.facebook.com/easyas124/
It could happen to anyone and I want to help Babies' and Children's Hearts in Wales in their mission to ensure that support is there for children when it does. I've seen the impact that sudden illness in young children can have, especially during the COVID pandemic - fair play to Leia's family during this crisis and her incredible parents for fundraising in this way. I really am delighted that I'm able to contribute in some small way.
So, on Sunday 3rd October 2021 I will be trail running 35 miles here in Pembrokeshire to raise money for this cause. I offer the opportunity for people to give what you can, if you can. You can also share this with others who might want to contribute, come run with me, support me during my training and celebrate at the end. Until then, I'll be sharing updates on my training on my personal facebook page https://www.facebook.com/h3l.murray
