- Funded on Saturday, 17th November 2018

Story
It’s that time of year again. We have another great fireworks display planned for the 3rd November 2018 at the Helensburgh Pierhead site. Fireworks night is one of the best community nights of the year and has been on our calendar for nearly 50 years.
This years fireworks display may be one of the last with the upcoming pierhead swimming pool development.
The Helensburgh fireworks are not council run or funded and they are only possible through the generous donations from the public and support of local businesses. The fireworks night is organised by the volunteers from the Helensburgh Round Table and many volunteers help out on the night. Without public donations it cannot go ahead.
Here’s to another great night for all the family. Enjoy!

6 years agoSo, between the fireworks display and the Santa Dash we hope to be giving at least £1000 to two great local causes this Christmas. These are; - Visiting Friends, a charity who are focused on tackling isolation among Helensburgh’s older residents and - The Helensburgh and Lomond Food Bank who issue 35-40 food bags every week to local vulnerable people and families. To help make this possible please register to take part in the Helensburgh Santa Dash at www.santadashhelensburgh.co.uk Thank You!

6 years agoI'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone that donated online this year. I'm delighted to tell you that, along with the donations in buckets on the night we met our fundraising target and covered the full costs of the fireworks this year. We also had support from a number of local businesses - see www.helensburghfireworks.co.uk for the full list. We even managed to raise a surplus this year and all of that is going straight into our fund for local good causes!

We are awaiting the totals from the buckets and all other contributions, as well as an updated set of costs after the reschedule. We'll let you all know once we find out how we did. Thank you again for your amazing generosity :-)
