Story

My parents, Karla and Rob, have been together since 1992. While they looked like an ordinary couple, they were far from it. From travelling the world with their children, to taking part in off roading tracks, our family home was filled with light and happy memories.

But in January, 2017, my mum suddenly fell ill with what doctors thought was the flu. But after two weeks of battling, she collapsed suddenly in her home in Essex and died in A&E in the early hours of the morning at just 41 years old.

Our world quickly fell apart. My dad fell into a deep depression that he struggled to pull himself out of. Our family ripped apart at the seams, losing our home and money to pay for her funeral - something I never prepared myself for. But throughout all of this, my dad has never failed to support us. He had never once taken time off for himself and constantly put us first no matter what, struggling through a terrible paying job just to put food on the table.

That's why I'm here. My dad has sacrificed so much for us and I have no way to show him just how much I appreciate him. He and my mum always dreamed of travelling to Thailand together and that's what I'd love to give him. With your help, I can put a smile on my dads face again. I can give him some happy memories and give him something to look forward to again. It would truly mean the world to him to take this trip and I so desperately want to make him happy again.

Thank you
