Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
So sometimes life throws us a curve ball and sometimes it throws us 9, in my case definitely 9! My answer to these has always been(metaphorically at least) to shoot them, but for the last 2 years that hasn't been an option.
Having moved out to university finances were tight and the cost of living took priority meaning selling kit and losing my sport. I cannot quiet put into words how torn I feel watching others shoot. On one hand it's my true passion and there's no where I'd rather be. I could sit all day and watch, admiring kit and technique, happily coaching the novices and helping where I can. And this love has lead me to setting up a new club at my university, which has been a battle in its own right and is a story for another time. But on the other hand every arrow feels like it hits me in the chest rather than the target.
When life gets tricky I've always had my sport to fall back on and ridiculous as it may sound everyday without it is a battle. Every hurdle looks 10x higher without that escape.
Which brings us to why I'm here. Through the year I have scraped together enough to get nearly setup but a few setbacks leave me short of some arrows(and a few smaller things) and in short this is a final plea. I have run out of ideas to give me chance to get back to shooting. With this being my last year of uni I'm desperate to get a chance to shoot at BUCs(inter university competition) and can't see any more options.
So that's my story. Thank you for reading and any donations would be very very gratefully received!
