Story

My granson Oli has Spinal Muscular Atrophy. This is a neurological condition which leads to muscle wasting. Its a degenerative condition. Oli is a bright caring and funny 8 year old and is starting to achieve great things in disability sport playing in national finals in Boccia and the North of Englang league for powerchair football.

Unfortunatly due to his condition he is slowly becoming weaker as gets older and he muscles get weaker.

Oli has been across to liege in Belgium twice to see if he is eligible for a drugs trial that may stop his degeneration and will hopefully give him the chsnce to become stronger and grow his muscles.

However the travelling comes at a cost and if accepted on the trial (which is looking likely) he will have to travel to Liege
Many times over the nexr two years with his parents.

I am doing the Shepherds Walk for the third year running with Olis mum Nicola and his Aunt Louise to help raise as much as i can to help pay for some of the travelling costs for Oli. The Shepherds Walk is a 26 mile walk in one day along the Beautiful Northumberland coastline from Budel Bay to Alnmouth.

Please support me and Oli if you can

Thanks
