Story

I saw Glens story on a VW facebook group earlier this morning and knew straight away I had to help, this is Glens story of events in his own words taken from the facebook group.

Thank you so much for the kind words, the house insurance have put us into temp accommodation whilst loss adjuster works with disaster team and building inspector, they are hoping for a 6 month rebuild 😩

“They also gave us an emergency payment so we could by clothes and essentials, our son is a type 1 diabetic so we needed a fridge for insulin, thankfully the comfort inn we’re staying in agreed we could put a small fridge in the room.

We have a meeting with our children’s school today, we need to get all new uniforms, they’ve lost all their course work, and worried about going back to school as it’s been all over social media and local news.

Our daughter is almost 13 and it’s affected her the worst, her room was her little place, lost so many personal things etc, my son bless him his world was his Jordan basketball boots and his xbox, typical boy.

Then to top it all off my mum sadly passed away yesterday after suffering with MS and COPD for 2 years, has to be the worse week I lived ever ☹️

Thankfully a neighbour heard a pop and looked out to see the van alight, he smashed the hell out our front door and alerted us, my daughter is really struggling as her bedroom was closest to the fire, but all 4 of us out ok, fire brigade said we had around 5 mins before it would have been a different outcome..... really puts s**t into prospective.“
