    Story

Grayson Craig Antcliffe is a three year old, happy little boy, full of life. He enjoys football, supporting Sheffield team Sheffield Wednesday and enjoys spending time zooming around on his bike. He lives with his loving mother Jamie Leigh and younger sister.

Recently, their family life was turned upside down. Grayson began displaying certain behaviours and after visiting doctors, he was found to have a tumour, wrapped around his brain. After an intense 10 hour surgery to remove as much of the tumour as possible. The surgery went well despite Grayson needing a blood transfusion due to heavy blood loss. Tests were performed on part of the tumour that was removed and on the 20th of November, the results showed that Grayson had brain cancer. This type on brain cancer is a rare brain cancer known as Ependymoma. Ependymoma is a seriour, life-threatening tumour that arises from a tissue of the central nervous system.

Whilst the surgery was successful in removing the majority of the tumour, they weren't able to fully remove it. The tumour is continuing to multiply and Graysons only option now is to receive incredibly important treatment. Normally this is treat by a using combination of radiotherapy and chemotherapy however, as the radiotherapy in England is too strong for Grayson because he is under the age of 5, the tissue around his brain isn't developed enough to take the power of this type of radiotherapy. Grayson will have to go to America with his mother to receive this treatment, flying out on the 4th December. Grayson and his mother Jamie Leigh will in America for a total of 8 weeks, whilst Grayson receives the correct treatment.

Grayson and his mom Jamie Leigh will be alone, in a different country this Christmas, through an incredibly difficult and scary time in their lives. Our aim is to help this family enjoy as much of a normal, happy Christmas as possible and to make this one a memorable one for little Grayson whilst he's receiving such serious treatment. Every donation, no matter how little or big will help provide for Grayson and give him the wonderful Christmas he deserves.
