There is some fundraised money left. I come here to ask that her husband can use it to put towards funeral costs and expenses. Let’s send her off in a way she deserves! With huge sadness I’ve come to let you all know that kate died yesterday. She was with her husband and family and was at peace. Please accept our massive thanks for all you have done for her. The Avastin DID work and allowed her to have the cancer in her liver removed completely where it had previously been deemed inoperable. Unfortunately the ‘easy bit’, the bowel operation which came next, reviled that the cancer had grown much more there than the scans showed and she couldn’t be saved.

Well done everyone for helping us reach the target!! It doesn’t stop there though! Kate no longer receives pay from work and will continue to be off for a wee while longer but really doesn’t fancy defaulting on her mortgage or having to move house any time soon! A fundraising event has been organised for her by a friend and ex-colleague Sam Dunkley and we’d love to see as many of you there as can make it!
