I've raised £5000 to Help Marie Clare cope with cancer and a new born baby!!!

Last week my sister, Marie Clare was diagnosed with cancer, Hodgkin Lymphoma. It shook us to the core, not only for her sake but for the sake of her unborn child. She is 6 months pregnant. The baby is due December 4th. After having tried to conceive a baby for 7 years, when Marie Clare finally found out she was pregnant she had won the lottery!
Although there has been few studies on treatment while pregnant, the consultant wants to start chemotherapy straight away. It will steal the precious moments of a mother bonding with her newly born treasure through breast feeding and having the energy and strength to properly care for her infant.
As we live in Scotland, fortunately we have our national health to thank for free treatment. Sadly Marie Clare has recently changed jobs and only qualifies for statutory maternity pay. This is an extra worry that I would so very much like to alleviate.
My cause is to give Marie Clare some sort of comfort in knowing that she will have enough money to keep a roof over her head, food to keep her strength up and warm clothes for the new arrival.
Please be generous!
