Story
Love is not something that can be planned for, and in that famous adage it almost always comes when you’re not looking for it. That’s what happened when we found this loveable boy (he won my heart and I’m a lifelong cat person!) a few days ago in Greece, living in a putrid outdoor toilet that hadn’t been cleaned in who knows how long. We couldn’t leave him in a state like that and decided he deserved a forever home. We took him to the vet, only to find out that he would’ve died in the next two weeks had we not done so. Luckily, the tick-borne disease he contracted was cureable and is being treated with antibiotics. However, it will mean constant care and follow up tests for him, which we can’t do.
My partner and I can’t stay in Greece for the three weeks he needs after his vaccinations and health checks and will be travelling extensively. With our plans, it would be much safer to board him in Greece and let him settle before taking him home to Scotland with us forever. We want this boy to be part of our forever family, but our pockets are very tight, which is why we welcome any help you can offer! Please help us save the newest member of our family.
P.s. we can’t decide between Hercules and Atlas for a name, so if you donate we’ll take your vote too!
p.p.s we promise to keep you updated with his progress
