Story

I wish i could do more to help the survivors of Irma. For those of you that know me and my family, your'll know that the islands of Antigua and Barbuda are close to our hearts and because of this i would like to be able to send them something in the way of a donation to help them rebuild their lives. We visit frequently and over the years have made good friends out there. The people of these beautiful islands rely so much on the revenue that tourism brings in, but now with all but shards of glass and timber strewn around from the once glorious hotels and homes, their lives have been destroyed. They need to concentrate on rebuilding the entire island! I was so saddened to hear the Antiguan and Barbuda government estimate that it could take as long as 20 years to rebuild - 20 YEARS?? If this was mine and my families home I would be devastated, but i would have some sort of comfort knowing that there are people out there that care enough to help. Could you spare the price for today that your daily cup of 'designer' coffee costs? If we all contributed just a few quid, it would certainly mount up and somehow encourage these people in desperate times. Its early days yet and these people are just starting to get their heads around what has happened within the past week.

It's not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving - Mother Teresa

LETS HELP THE PEOPLE OF BARBUDA RE-BUILD THEIR LIVES A LOT SOONER THAN 20 YEARS.

Thank you XxX
